FAQs
How is Walmart keyword volume estimated?
We combine autocomplete depth (which terms appear in autocomplete and at what position), SERP result counts, and historical search-term report data from sellers who have opted in. We surface a relative volume score (1–100), not an absolute monthly search count, because absolute counts on Walmart aren't publicly disclosed.
Are these the same keywords as Amazon's?
No. Walmart and Amazon have different audience compositions and different search behavior. ShelfSEO surfaces both side-by-side so you can spot keywords where Walmart has higher relative demand.
How does keyword difficulty work?
We score difficulty 1–100 based on: number of sponsored placements, average content score of top 5 organic results, count of listings with the keyword in the exact title, and overall result count. Below 30 is winnable; above 70 is hard for new listings.
