Source.We query Walmart's public search results page across ~41 high-volume keyword seeds (every 6 hours via cron) and capture the top organic SKU positions. Sponsored slots are filtered out — paid placement isn't popularity.
Ranking.Each SKU's “score” on this page = average search position across the queries it ranks for. Lower position number = higher rank, mirroring Amazon BSR semantics.
Freshness.Snapshots refresh every 6 hours. The “last updated” timestamp on each category page reflects the most recent capture for that category's seed keywords.
Why we built this.Walmart doesn't expose category rank publicly the way Amazon exposes BSR. This is the closest substitute we can build from public data — useful for sellers researching what to source, agencies pitching clients, and journalists wanting Walmart-side trend data.
