How are Walmart Marketplace referral fees calculated?
Walmart charges a referral fee on item subtotal (excluding shipping). Most categories are flat percentages (15% standard, 6–12% for Computers and select tech). A few categories use tiered pricing — 8% under $10 / 15% over for Baby, Beauty, Grocery, Health; bracketed pricing for Furniture, Jewelry, and Watches.
Does Walmart charge a monthly fee?
No. Walmart Marketplace has no monthly seller fee, unlike Amazon's $39.99/mo Professional plan. You only pay referral fees on completed sales.
Are Walmart fees lower than Amazon's?
Sometimes. For most categories, Walmart and Amazon are within 1–2 percentage points. Walmart is materially cheaper for Computers (6% vs. 8%) and Plumbing/HVAC (10% vs. 12%). Walmart is roughly equal for most other categories.
What about WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) fees?
