Walmart seller glossary

WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services)

WFS is Walmart's first-party fulfillment program — you ship inventory to Walmart's warehouses and they pick, pack, and ship it to the buyer.

Analogous to Amazon's FBA. Sellers benefit from Walmart-branded packaging, 2-day delivery eligibility, and a meaningful Buy Box weighting boost.

Fees include a per-unit fulfillment fee and a monthly storage fee. The fee structure favors low-cube, fast-turning products — a slow-moving heavy item can lose money on storage alone.

Most categories see a 15–25% lift in conversion rate moving from seller-fulfilled to WFS. The Buy Box advantage often offsets the fee delta on its own.
